In our daily lives, we encounter data everywhere, like counting how many apples are in a basket or how many students like different colors. Today, we will learn how to gather this information and represent it in a way that is easy to understand.

Let's say we want to find out what fruit our classmates like the most. We can ask each student their favorite fruit and write down their answers. If 5 students like apples, 3 like bananas, and 2 like oranges, we can create a bar graph. Each fruit will have a bar that shows how many students like it. The taller the bar, the more students like that fruit!

Now, let's conduct a class survey! I will ask each of you to tell me your favorite color. As you share, I will write down the responses on the board. After we finish, we will create a bar graph together. Remember to count how many students chose each color and draw the bars accordingly. This will help us visualize the data we collected.
