Kindness is when we treat others with care and respect. It means being helpful, friendly, and understanding. In many religions, kindness is a very important value. Today, we will learn how different religions teach us to be kind to one another.
Letβs look at a story from Christianity about the Good Samaritan. In this story, a man helps someone who is hurt, even though they are from different backgrounds. This shows us that kindness means helping others, no matter who they are. In Islam, there is a teaching that says, 'The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.' This means that being kind and helpful makes us good people.
Now, letβs talk about how we can be kind in our own lives. I will ask you some questions, and you can share your thoughts. Can you think of a time when you helped a friend? How did it make you feel? What are some ways we can show kindness to our family, friends, and even strangers?
For your independent practice, I want you to draw a picture of a time when you were kind to someone or when someone was kind to you. Write a few sentences about what happened in your picture. We will share our drawings with the class at the end of the lesson.
