Today, we will explore new words that we can use in our everyday conversations. We will read a short story together and identify important words. After reading, we will discuss what these words mean and how we can use them in sentences. This will help us to express ourselves better.
Let’s look at the sentence: 'The cat is sleeping.' We can identify the subject (the cat) and the action (is sleeping). Now, let’s change it to 'The dog is barking.' Notice how we kept the structure but changed the subject. This shows how we can create new sentences using different words while maintaining the same meaning.
In groups, I want you to create your own sentences using the words we learned from the story. Each group will choose a word and make a sentence. Remember to use correct punctuation at the end of your sentences. After you create your sentences, we will share them with the class.
Now it’s your turn to write! Choose three new words from our lesson today and write a sentence for each word. Make sure to use capital letters at the beginning of your sentences and punctuation at the end. Once you finish, draw a picture that represents one of your sentences.
