Let’s look at a simple story: 'Mokhulu o na le ntja e ntle.' (Grandpa has a nice dog.) In this story, we have a character (Mokhulu) and an event (he has a dog). Now, let’s add more details: 'Mokhulu o na le ntja e ntle e khubelu.' (Grandpa has a nice red dog.) Notice how adding adjectives makes the story more interesting.

Now, let’s work together to create our own sentences. I will give you a character, and you will help me describe what they are doing. For example, if I say 'Mokhulu', you might say 'o ntse a bapala le ntja.' (He is playing with the dog.) Let’s write this down together on the board, making sure we use proper punctuation.
