Today, we will learn how to write sentences correctly, paying attention to punctuation and spacing. For example, the sentence 'Ke rata ho bapala' means 'I like to play.' Notice how it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
Let's look at some examples together. If I say, 'Lerato e na le ntja,' which means 'Lerato has a dog,' we can see that it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Now, if I ask, 'Na u na le ntja?' which means 'Do you have a dog?' it ends with a question mark. Both sentences are correct, but they serve different purposes. One is a statement, and the other is a question.
Now, let's practice writing sentences together. I will say a sentence, and you will repeat it after me. Then, we will write it on the board. For example, I will say, 'Ke thabela ho bala libuka,' which means 'I enjoy reading books.' After we write it, we will check if it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
