Notice how we added more information to make the sentence interesting. Now, let's practice by thinking of our own sentences about our favorite animals.

In small groups, I want you to create a short story. Start with a character, like a lion or a bird. Discuss with your friends what happens in the story. After you have your ideas, write down your sentences on paper. Remember to use capital letters and punctuation. I will walk around to help you if you need it.
