Let’s look at how to build a sentence. For example, if we have the words 'ngwana' (child) and 'o a ja' (is eating), we can create the sentence 'Ngwana o a ja.' Notice how we start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. Let’s practice this with other words together.

I will read a short story in Setswana about a 'ngwana' (child) who plays with a 'tshwana' (toy). After I finish, I want you to tell me what the ngwana did in the story. Remember to use complete sentences. For example, you can say, 'Ngwana o bapala le tshwana.' This will help you practice speaking clearly.
