Today, we will learn new words that are important for our everyday conversations. We will read a short story together and identify new words. After reading, we will discuss what these words mean and how we can use them in sentences. This will help us understand the language better and express ourselves clearly.
Let's look at the sentence: 'The cat is sleeping.' We can break it down: 'The' is a determiner, 'cat' is a noun, 'is' is a verb, and 'sleeping' is an action. Now, letβs try to create our own sentence using the word 'dog'. For example, 'The dog is playing.' Notice how we use a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end.
In groups, you will receive a short text. Your task is to find and underline all the new words. After that, we will come together as a class to share the words we found. Each group will explain what their words mean and use them in a sentence. This will help us learn from each other and practice speaking.
Now itβs your turn to write! Using the new words we discussed, write three sentences in your exercise books. Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter and end with a full stop. After writing, draw a picture that represents one of your sentences. This will help you connect words with images.
