Today, we will explore the sounds of Tshivenda letters and how they come together to form words. Phonics is important because it helps us read and write better. We will practice the sounds of vowels and consonants, and learn how to blend them to create words.

Let’s look at the word 'muthu' (person). We can break it down into sounds: 'm', 'u', 't', 'h', 'u'. When we blend these sounds together, we get the word 'muthu'. Now, let’s try another word: 'ndila' (road). What sounds do we hear? 'n', 'd', 'i', 'l', 'a'. Great! Together, they form the word 'ndila'.

Now, let’s create sentences using the words we built. For example, 'Muthu u khou ya ndila' (The person is going on the road). Let’s practice together. I will say a word, and you will help me make a sentence. What sentence can we make with 'muthu' and 'ndila'? Remember to use correct punctuation at the end of your sentence!

In your exercise books, write down five words that you can build using the sounds we practiced today. Then, create a sentence for each word. Make sure to check your sentences for correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish, we will share our sentences with the class.
