Let’s read a short story together. The story is about a little bird that learns to fly. As we read, pay attention to how the bird feels. When we read the part where the bird is excited, we will use a happy voice. When the bird is scared, we will use a soft and shaky voice. This helps us understand the story better.

Now, let’s form small groups. Each group will choose a short text to read aloud. As you read, practice using different voices for the characters. After reading, discuss how each character felt and how you showed that through your voice. Remember to pay attention to punctuation marks, as they guide how we read.

For independent practice, write three sentences about your favorite animal. Use correct punctuation and spacing. After writing, read your sentences aloud to a partner, using different voices to express how your animal feels. This will help you practice both writing and reading fluently.
