Let’s look at a short story together. 'U na n'wana wa khomo, u ya esikolweni. U funa ku dyondza.' This means 'There is a child at home, he goes to school. He wants to learn.' Notice how we start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. This helps our readers know when one thought ends and another begins.

Now, let’s create sentences as a class. I will say a word, and you will help me make a sentence. For example, if I say 'ndhlu' (house), you might say, 'Ndhlu i ya le xihlahleni' (The house is by the tree). Let’s practice using capital letters and full stops together.
