In this lesson, we will focus on guided reading to help you understand short texts better. Guided reading is when the teacher helps you read a story or passage, discussing the meaning and answering questions together. This will help you improve your reading skills and understand what you read.

Let's read a short story together. The story is about a little girl named Nandi who loves to play outside. As we read, I will ask you questions about the story. For example, 'What does Nandi like to do?' After reading, we will talk about the main ideas and details in the story.

Now, we will split into small groups. Each group will read a different short text. After reading, discuss with your group what the story is about. I will walk around to help you with any difficult words. Remember to think about the characters and what happens in the story.

After our group discussions, I want you to write three sentences about the story you read. Make sure to use correct punctuation at the end of each sentence. For example, if you wrote about Nandi, you could say, 'Nandi plays outside.' Remember to check your spacing between words!
