Today, we will review what we have learned in Afrikaans this term. We will focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Let’s look at the sentence: 'Die kat sit op die mat.' Notice how we use capital letters at the beginning and a full stop at the end. Now, let’s create our own sentence. How about: 'Die hond speel in die tuin.' We will write it on the board together, ensuring we use the correct punctuation and spacing.

I will read a short story aloud. After I finish, I will ask you questions about the story. For example, 'Wat het die kat gedoen?' (What did the cat do?) You will answer in complete sentences. This will help you practice speaking and listening skills. Remember to use the correct punctuation when you write your answers.

Now it’s your turn to write! I want you to write a short paragraph about your favorite animal. Use at least three sentences and remember to start each sentence with a capital letter and end with a full stop. After you finish writing, read your paragraph to a partner and check if you used correct punctuation and spacing.
