Let's look at the sentence: 'the cat is playing'. This sentence needs a capital letter at the beginning and a period at the end. The correct sentence is: 'The cat is playing.' Now, let's try another one together: 'where is my book'. What punctuation do we need at the end of this sentence?

In groups, you will receive a set of words. Your task is to create a complete sentence using those words. Remember to start with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation. After you create your sentences, each group will share their sentences with the class. We will check for correct grammar and punctuation together.

Now it's your turn to edit! I will give you a short paragraph with some mistakes. Your job is to find and correct the punctuation errors. Pay attention to the beginning of sentences and where they end. After you finish, write the corrected paragraph neatly on a new sheet of paper.
