Today, we will learn how to write our own sentences and use punctuation correctly.
Let's look at some examples together. If I say, 'The cat is sleeping,' this is a complete sentence. Notice how it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Now, if I ask, 'Is the cat awake?' this is also a complete sentence but ends with a question mark. Let's practice identifying the punctuation in these sentences.
Now, let's work together to build sentences. I will give you a few words, and you will help me form a complete sentence. For example, if I say 'dog', 'bark', and 'loudly', you might say, 'The dog barks loudly.' After we create a few sentences together, we will check if they start with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation.
