Today, we will explore new isiNdebele vocabulary words. Vocabulary is important because it helps us express our thoughts and understand others. We will learn words related to our daily lives, such as 'umama' (mother), 'ubaba' (father), and 'umntwana' (child). I will say each word, and you will repeat after me to practice pronunciation.
Letβs create sentences using the new vocabulary. For example, if we take the word 'umama', we can say 'Umama uyasebenza' (Mother is working). Notice how we start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. I will write a few sentences on the board, and we will check together if they are correct.
Now, letβs work in small groups. Each group will receive a set of vocabulary cards. Your task is to create three sentences using the words on your cards. Remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish, each group will share one sentence with the class. I will help you if you have questions.
For your independent practice, I want you to write a short paragraph about your family using at least five of the vocabulary words we learned today. Make sure to check your work for correct punctuation and spacing. Once you finish, you can illustrate your paragraph with a drawing of your family.
