Let’s look at a simple story: 'Uthanda uNdlovu. Uthanda ukudla amakhanda. Uthanda ukuhamba emanzini.' This story tells us about an elephant and what it likes to do. Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. This is important for making our writing easy to read.

In groups, think of your favorite animal and discuss what it likes to do. Each group will create a short story together. Remember to include at least three sentences. Use proper punctuation and make sure each sentence is clear. After writing, one person from each group will read the story aloud to the class.
