Let’s look at a simple story: 'Once upon a time, there was a little cat named Mew. Mew loved to play in the garden. One day, she found a shiny ball. What do you think happened next?' Notice how we used full stops and a question mark to make the story exciting and engaging.

Now, let’s work together to create sentences. I will say a word, and you will help me build a sentence. For example, if I say 'dog,' we can say, 'The dog is barking loudly.' Remember to use a full stop at the end of the sentence. Let’s try a few more words together!

Now it’s your turn! Write a short story about your favorite animal. Make sure to include at least three sentences and use correct punctuation. After you finish, share your story with a partner and listen to their story too. This will help you practice your speaking and listening skills.
