Let's take the sounds 'm', 'a', and 't'. When we combine these sounds, we can form the word 'mat' (mat). Now, let's try another example with the sounds 'b', 'a', and 'n'. When we put these together, we get 'ban' (to be). This shows how different sounds can create new words.
Now, let's work together to create sentences using the words we built. For instance, using 'mat', we can say, 'Ngihlezi phezu kwe-mat' (I am sitting on the mat). I will write it on the board, and you will help me with punctuation. Remember to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.
For your independent practice, I want you to create three words using the sounds 's', 'i', and 'b'. Then, write a sentence for each word. Make sure to check your spelling and use correct punctuation. After you finish, share your sentences with a partner.
