Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in unique ways. Today, we will learn how to write short stories and sentences that are fun and interesting. We will also discuss our ideas with our classmates, which will help us become better writers. Remember, there are no wrong ideas in creative writing; every thought is valuable!

Let’s look at a simple story: 'Once upon a time, there was a little cat named Mew. Mew loved to chase butterflies in the garden. One day, she caught a beautiful blue butterfly and made a new friend!' Notice how the sentences are short and clear, and they tell us a story. We will practice writing our own stories like this!

Now, let’s write a short story together as a class. I will start with a sentence: 'In a big forest, there lived a wise old owl.' What should happen next? Raise your hand to share your ideas. I will write your sentences on the board. Remember to use capital letters at the beginning and punctuation at the end!

It's your turn to write your own short story! Think of an animal and what adventure it might have. Write at least three sentences about your story. Don’t forget to check your work for capital letters and punctuation. After you finish, you can draw a picture to go with your story!
