Let’s look at a simple example: 'UThandi uthanda ukudlala ibhola. UThandi udlala ibhola nabangani bakhe.' Notice how we use a full stop at the end of each sentence. This helps the reader know when one thought ends and another begins. We will practice writing similar sentences about our favorite activities.

In groups, let’s create sentences together. I will give you a topic, for example, 'Uhlobo lwezinyoni' (Types of birds). Each group will come up with three sentences about birds, ensuring to use correct punctuation. After writing, we will share our sentences with the class. This will help us learn from each other and improve our writing skills.

Now it’s your turn to write! Choose a topic that interests you, such as 'Uhambo lwami' (My journey) or 'Izilwane engizithandayo' (Animals I love). Write a short paragraph of 4-5 sentences. Remember to use proper punctuation and spacing. After you finish writing, read your paragraph to a partner and discuss what you wrote.
