Today, we will talk about health and safety. Health means taking care of our bodies and minds, while safety means keeping ourselves and others safe from harm. It is important to make healthy choices, like eating fruits and vegetables, and to behave respectfully towards others. Let's think about how we can stay healthy and safe in our everyday lives.
Let's look at some examples of healthy choices. If you have a choice between an apple and a chocolate bar, which one is healthier? The apple is a better choice because it has vitamins that help our bodies. Another example is drinking water instead of soda. Water keeps us hydrated and is good for our health. Can anyone think of other healthy choices we can make?
Now, we will practice what we have learned through role-playing. I will divide you into small groups, and each group will receive a scenario. For example, one group might act out a situation where they have to choose between playing outside or playing video games. Discuss what the healthy choice is and then act it out for the class. Remember to think about how your choices affect your health and safety.
To wrap up our lesson, I want each of you to think about one small goal you can set for yourself related to health and safety. It could be drinking more water each day, eating a fruit with lunch, or being kind to a friend. Write your goal down on a piece of paper and illustrate it. We will share our goals with the class tomorrow!
