Today, we will talk about health and safety. Health means taking care of our bodies and minds, while safety means keeping ourselves and others safe from harm. We will discuss why it is important to make healthy choices, like eating fruits and vegetables, and how to behave respectfully towards others.
Letβs look at some examples of healthy choices. If you are feeling thirsty, what should you drink? Water is a healthy choice! Now, if you are hungry, what is better: a candy bar or an apple? An apple is a healthy choice because it gives us energy and nutrients. Remember, making healthy choices helps us grow strong and stay safe.
In pairs, letβs practice some scenarios. One person will act out a situation where they need to make a healthy choice, and the other will respond. For example, one might pretend to choose between playing outside or staying inside to watch TV. Discuss why playing outside is a healthier choice. After a few minutes, we will share our scenarios with the class.
Now, think about what you learned today. Write down one small goal you want to achieve related to health and safety. It could be drinking more water, eating more fruits, or being kinder to your classmates. Share your goal with a partner and discuss how you will achieve it. Remember, setting goals helps us improve!
