When we count, we can use our fingers or a number line to help us keep track. If we add 2 more apples, we can count again: 6 apples, 7 apples. So, 5 + 2 = 7.

Now, let's practice counting together. I will show you a picture of 4 stars. Can you count them out loud with me? 1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars, 4 stars. Great!
