Let’s look at a simple short story: 'Mokhudu o na le ngwana ya bitšwago Thabo. Thabo o rata go bapala le metswedi ya gagwe. Ka letsatsi le leng, ba etetse borai ba bona.' Notice how the sentences are structured and how punctuation is used. Each sentence tells us something new about Thabo and his friends.
Now, let’s create sentences together. I will say a word, and you will help me build a sentence. For example, if I say 'ngwana', you might say, 'Ngwana o a bapala.' Let’s practice with a few more words: 'motswana', 'bana', and 'bophelo'. Remember to use punctuation at the end of each sentence!
