It starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark, such as a full stop (.), question mark (?), or exclamation mark (!). For example, 'The cat is sleeping.' is a complete sentence. Today, we will learn how to write our own sentences and use punctuation correctly.

Let’s look at some examples. 'I like to play outside.' This sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Now, if we want to ask a question, we can say, 'Do you like ice cream?' Notice that this sentence ends with a question mark. Lastly, for excitement, we can say, 'Wow, that is amazing!' which ends with an exclamation mark. Each of these sentences is complete and uses punctuation correctly.

Now, let’s work together to create sentences. I will say a word, and you will help me form a sentence. For example, if I say 'dog', you might say, 'The dog is barking.' Let’s try another one with 'school'. What sentence can we make? Remember to start with a capital letter and think about what punctuation we should use at the end.

Now it’s your turn! Write three sentences about your favorite animal. Make sure to start each sentence with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation.
