Today, we will learn how to use these punctuation marks correctly in our writing.
Let's look at the following sentence: 'mošadi o a ja lebese'. It is missing a full stop at the end. The correct sentence should be 'mošadi o a ja lebese.' Now, let's try another one: 'na ke a etela'. This sentence needs a question mark because it is a question. The corrected version is 'na ke a etela?'.
In groups, students will receive a list of sentences that are missing punctuation. Each group will work together to add the correct punctuation marks. For example, the sentence 'bana ba a bapala' should be corrected to 'bana ba a bapala.' After correcting, each group will share their sentences with the class and explain the changes they made.
Students will write five sentences about their favorite food. They must ensure that each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with the correct punctuation. For example, 'Ke rata lebese.' After writing, students will swap their work with a partner to check for punctuation and spacing errors.
