Let's look at some examples of sentences: 'The cat is sleeping.' This sentence ends with a full stop because it is a statement. 'Are you coming to the party?' This sentence ends with a question mark because it asks something. 'Wow, that is amazing!' This sentence ends with an exclamation mark because it shows strong feeling. Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with the correct punctuation.

Now, let's create sentences together. I will say a word, and you will help me form a sentence. For example, if I say 'dog', you might say, 'The dog is barking.' Let's write it on the board. Remember to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. After we write it, we will underline the punctuation mark. Let's try another word: 'school'. What sentence can we make?
