Let's read the story 'Muvenda na Muvenda' together. After reading, I will ask you questions like, 'Who are the main characters?' and 'What happened in the story?' This will help us understand the text better. For example, if I ask, 'What did Muvenda do when he found the lost dog?' you should be able to answer based on the text.

Now, let's split into small groups. Each group will read a different short text. After reading, discuss with your group what the story is about. Use questions to guide your discussion, such as 'What did you like about the story?' and 'What was the main problem in the story?' I will walk around to listen and help if you need it.

For your independent practice, I want you to write three sentences about your favorite part of the story you read. Remember to use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence and punctuation at the end. After writing, share your sentences with a partner and read them aloud to each other.
