Let’s look at a simple story: 'A little bird wanted to fly high in the sky. Every day, it practiced flapping its wings. One sunny morning, it took a deep breath and flew up, up, up! The bird was so happy!' Notice how the story has a beginning, middle, and end. It also uses punctuation to help us understand the sentences.
Now, let’s work together to create a story. I will start with a sentence: 'Once upon a time, there was a brave little lion.' What do you think happens next? Let’s add more sentences together. Remember to use punctuation at the end of each sentence. I will write it on the board as we go along.
