Today, we will explore new words that are important in our daily lives. We will read a short story together and identify new words. After reading, we will discuss the meanings of these words and how we can use them in sentences. This will help us understand and use the language better.
Let’s look at the sentence: 'The cat is sleeping.' We can identify the subject (the cat) and the action (is sleeping). Now, let’s change the sentence to: 'The dog is barking.' Notice how we kept the structure but changed the subject. This shows us how to create new sentences using different words.
I will give you a list of words: 'bird', 'fly', 'tree'. Together, let’s create sentences using these words. For example, 'The bird is flying in the tree.' Now, I want you to try creating your own sentences using the words I give you. Remember to use correct punctuation at the end of your sentences.
Now it’s your turn! Write three sentences using the following words: 'sun', 'shine', 'happy'. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish writing, read your sentences to a partner and discuss what they mean.
