Today, we will learn about creative writing by thinking about our dream day. A dream day is a day where everything is perfect and fun! We will use our imagination to describe what we would do, who we would be with, and where we would go. Remember, when we write, we need to use capital letters at the beginning of sentences and punctuation marks at the end.

Let’s look at an example. 'On my dream day, I would wake up early and eat pancakes with syrup. Then, I would go to the zoo with my family. I would see lions, elephants, and monkeys. In the afternoon, we would have a picnic in the park. It would be the best day ever!' Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.

Now, let’s work together! I want you to think about your dream day. Turn to your partner and share your ideas. What would you do? Who would you be with? After sharing, we will come back together as a class and share some of our ideas. I will write them on the board, and we will help each other with punctuation and sentence structure.

It’s time for you to write about your dream day! Use the paper provided to write at least five sentences about what you would do. Remember to use capital letters and punctuation marks. After you finish writing, draw a picture of your dream day. Once everyone is done, we will have a sharing session where you can read your paragraph to the class.
