Let's read the following short story together: 'U Mkhonto u na na le ndzeni ya khomo. U dzhia mivhili ya u vhuya.' Notice how I change my voice when I read different parts. When Mkhonto is happy, I read with a cheerful tone. When he is sad, I read softly. This helps the listener understand the story better.

Now, let's split into small groups. Each group will read the same story. As you read, practice using different voices for the characters. After reading, discuss how the characters felt and how you showed that through your reading. Remember to listen to your friends and give them feedback on their expression.

For this activity, write three sentences about your favorite animal. Make sure to use correct punctuation at the end of each sentence. After writing, read your sentences aloud to a partner. Pay attention to how you can use your voice to express excitement or sadness about your animal.
