Let’s take the sounds 'm', 'a', and 't'. When we combine these sounds, we get the word 'mat'. We can also change the first sound to create new words, such as 'bat' or 'cat'. Let's practice saying these words together and write them on the board. Remember to pay attention to the spacing between the words.

Now that we have built some words, let’s use them in sentences. For example, 'I see a mat.' I will write this sentence on the board. Let’s break it down: 'I' is a pronoun, 'see' is a verb, 'a' is an article, and 'mat' is a noun. Can anyone suggest another sentence using the word 'bat'? Let’s write it together and remember to use a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end.
