Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and imagination. Today, we will write a short story about an adventure in a magical place. We will think about what characters we want to include, what happens in the story, and how we can make it exciting. Remember, using punctuation like full stops, commas, and question marks helps our readers understand our stories better.

Let’s look at an example. 'Once upon a time, in a forest filled with talking animals, a brave little girl named Mia discovered a hidden treasure. She found a map that led her to a sparkling cave. What would she find inside?' Notice how I used capital letters at the beginning of sentences and full stops at the end. This makes the story clear and easy to read.

Now, let’s work together! In small groups, I want you to create a story about an adventure. Start with a character and a setting. For example, 'In a magical kingdom, a young prince named Leo wanted to find a lost dragon.' Each group will take turns sharing their ideas. Remember to listen carefully and think about how you can add to each other's stories. After sharing, we will write down the best parts of each story together.

It’s time for you to write your own short story! Think about an adventure you would like to go on. It could be in space, under the sea, or in a magical land. Write at least five sentences. Make sure to use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence and full stops at the end. After you finish, draw a picture that goes with your story. We will share our stories with the class at the end of the lesson.
