Today, we will explore creative writing by imagining our dream day. Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in a fun way. We will think about what we would do, who we would be with, and where we would go. Remember, there are no wrong answers in creative writing; it’s all about using your imagination!
Let’s look at an example. 'On my dream day, I would wake up early and go to the beach with my family. We would build sandcastles and swim in the ocean. For lunch, we would have a picnic with sandwiches and juice. In the afternoon, we would play beach games and watch the sunset together.' Notice how I used full stops and capital letters correctly.
Now, let’s have a group discussion. I want each of you to share one thing you would do on your dream day. After sharing, we will help each other by suggesting words or sentences to describe our ideas better. Remember to listen carefully to your classmates and think about how they use punctuation in their sentences.
It’s time for you to write about your dream day! Use the paper provided to write at least five sentences about what you would do. Make sure to use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence and full stops at the end. After you finish writing, draw a picture of your dream day to go along with your writing.
