Let's look at some examples of sentences. 'The cat is sleeping.' is a complete sentence that ends with a period. 'Are you coming to the party?' is a question and ends with a question mark. 'Wow! That was amazing!' shows excitement and ends with an exclamation mark. Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with the correct punctuation.
Now, let's work together to create sentences. I will say a word, and you will help me form a sentence. For example, if I say 'dog', you might say, 'The dog is barking.' Remember to start with a capital letter and think about what punctuation we should use at the end. After we create a few sentences together, we will check if they are correct and discuss why we chose the punctuation we did.
