It starts with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark, such as a full stop (.), question mark (?), or exclamation mark (!). For example, 'UThandi uyathanda ukudlala.' is a complete sentence. Today, we will learn how to write our own sentences and use punctuation correctly.
Let’s look at some examples. 'UThandi uthanda izinja.' is a simple sentence. Notice how it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. If we want to ask a question, we can say, 'UThandi uthanda izinja?' Here, we use a question mark at the end. Let’s practice identifying the punctuation in these sentences together.
Now, let’s work together to create sentences. I will give you a few words: 'UThandi', 'ukudlala', 'izinyoni'. Can anyone help me form a sentence using these words? Remember to start with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation. After we create a sentence, we will check if we have used spaces correctly between the words.
