This will help our writing to be clear and understandable.

Let’s look at a simple example: 'UThandiwe uthanda ukudlala ibhola. Uthanda futhi ukufunda izincwadi.' (Thandiwe loves to play soccer. She also loves to read books.) Notice how each sentence ends with a full stop. This helps the reader know when one thought ends and another begins. We can also use commas to separate ideas within a sentence.

In groups, let’s create sentences together. Each group will receive a set of words. Your task is to arrange these words into a meaningful sentence. Remember to use punctuation correctly. After you have formed your sentences, each group will share their sentence with the class. We will discuss the use of punctuation and how it changes the meaning of the sentences.

Now it’s your turn to write! Think of a fun day you had or a story you want to tell. Write a short text of 4-5 sentences. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish writing, read your text to a partner. They will give you feedback on your use of punctuation and clarity.
