Places of worship are special buildings where people gather to practice their faith. Different religions have different places of worship, such as churches, mosques, temples, and synagogues. Each place serves as a community center for followers to come together, pray, and participate in religious activities. Understanding these places helps us appreciate the diversity of beliefs and practices in our world.

For instance, Christians worship in churches, where they attend services and celebrate events like Christmas and Easter. Muslims go to mosques for prayers, especially on Fridays. Hindus visit temples to perform rituals and offer prayers to their deities. Each of these places has unique features, such as altars, prayer mats, and symbols that represent their faith.

Let's look at some pictures of different places of worship. As a class, we will identify each place and discuss what religion it belongs to. For example, if we see a picture of a mosque, we will talk about Islam and the practices that take place there. Students will also share if they have visited any of these places and what they experienced.

Now it's your turn! Draw a picture of a place of worship that you would like to create. Think about what it would look like, what symbols it would have, and what activities would take place there. Write a few sentences explaining why this place is important and what it represents. Be creative and use colors to make your drawing vibrant!
