Let’s look at a simple story: 'Mokgadi o na le ngwana yo a ratang go bapala.' (Mokgadi has a child who loves to play.) Notice how the sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. This is important in writing. Now, let’s add more sentences to make the story longer: 'Ba bapala ka ntle le mehleng ya borai.' (They play outside in the afternoon.)

Now, let’s work together to create a story. I will start with a sentence: 'Thabo o rata diphiri.' (Thabo loves cats.) What can we add to this? Let’s think of what Thabo does with the cats. Remember to use punctuation! Write down your ideas on the board, and we will create a complete story together.
