Today, we will explore a short story together. Shared reading allows us to read as a group, helping each other understand the text. We will look at the title and pictures first to make predictions about what the story might be about. This is an important skill because it helps us think critically about what we read.

Let’s look at the title of our story: 'Mokhudu le Nkgono' (Mokhudu and Grandma). What do you think this story will be about? (Pause for student responses.) Now, let’s look at the picture on the first page. What do you see? (Encourage students to describe the image.) Based on the title and the picture, I predict that Mokhudu will have an adventure with his grandmother.
