Let’s look at how to build a sentence. For example, if we take the words 'dog', 'runs', and 'fast', we can create the sentence: 'The dog runs fast.' Notice how we start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. This is important for clear communication.

I will read a short story about a cat named Meko who loves to play outside. Listen carefully and think about what Meko does in the story. After I finish reading, I will ask you some questions about the story. Remember to raise your hand if you want to answer!

Now it’s your turn to practice writing sentences. Using the words 'bird', 'sings', and 'beautifully', write a complete sentence. Make sure to use a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end. After you write your sentence, share it with a partner and read it aloud to them.
