Now, let’s create sentences as a class. I will start with a sentence: 'The sun is shining.' What can we add to this sentence? Let’s think of adjectives or actions. For example, 'The sun is shining brightly.' Remember to use a full stop at the end. We will write these sentences on the board together.

It’s your turn to write! Think of a character and a setting. Write a short story of 3-5 sentences. Remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish, share your story with a partner and listen to theirs. This will help you practice speaking and listening skills.
