Today, we will engage in shared reading, where we will read a short story together. Shared reading helps us to understand the text better and allows us to make predictions about what might happen next. Before we start reading, let’s look at the pictures and the title of the story. What do you think this story will be about? Making predictions is an important skill that helps us become better readers.

Let’s look at the title of our story: 'Umntfwana noMntfwana'. What do you think this story could be about? Based on the title, I predict that it will be about a child and their friend. Now, let’s look at the first picture. What do you see? I see two children playing together. This makes me think that the story will be about their adventures. What do you think will happen next?
