For example, 'I love siSwati.' is a complete sentence. Today, we will learn how to write our own sentences and use punctuation correctly.
Let’s look at some examples together. 'The sun is shining.' is a simple sentence. Notice how it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Another example is 'Are you coming to the party?' which ends with a question mark. Lastly, 'Wow! That is amazing!' ends with an exclamation mark. Each of these sentences conveys a clear message and uses punctuation correctly.
Now, let's practice writing sentences as a class. I will give you a prompt, and we will create a sentence together. For example, if I say 'My favorite animal is...', we can complete it as 'My favorite animal is a lion.' Remember to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.
