For example, the main character is a child, and the setting is the market. We will also discuss what the child learned from the experience.

After listening to the story, we will break into small groups. Each group will discuss what they liked about the story and what they think the child learned. Each student will take turns speaking, ensuring they use complete sentences. For example, a student might say, 'Ngithanda umntfwana ngoba uthanda ukusiza.' (I like the child because he likes to help.)

Now it’s your turn to write! Using the characters and events from the story, write three sentences about what happened. Remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. For example, you could write, 'Umntfwana wahamba emkhatsini.' (The child went to the market.) After writing, share your sentences with a partner.
