Let’s look at an example of a short story: 'Ndi na nwana wa mbwa. Mbwa yaanga ndi ya zwivhuya. I na vhukuma na u shuma na u bva na nwana.' This story uses simple sentences and correct punctuation. Notice how each sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. This makes it easy to read and understand.

Now, let’s write a short story together. I will start: 'Ndi na nwana wa khumba. Kumbani yaanga i na vhukuma.' What should we add next? Think about what the animal does or where it lives. Let’s take turns adding sentences. Remember to use capital letters and full stops!

Now it’s your turn! Write your own short story about your favorite animal. Use at least three sentences. Make sure to start each sentence with a capital letter and end with a full stop. After you finish, read your story to a partner and listen to theirs. This will help you practice speaking and listening skills.
