Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in unique ways. Today, we will focus on writing about our dream day. What would you do if you could plan the perfect day? Think about the activities, the people you would spend time with, and the places you would visit. We will share our ideas with each other and learn how to write them down clearly.
Let’s look at an example. 'My dream day starts with a sunny morning. I wake up and eat pancakes with syrup. After breakfast, I go to the park with my friends. We play soccer and have a picnic. In the afternoon, we visit the zoo and see all the animals. I end my day by watching a movie with my family.' Notice how each sentence has a clear idea and uses punctuation correctly.
Now, let’s discuss our dream days in small groups. Each person will share one activity they would include in their dream day. As you listen to your friends, think about how you can use their ideas in your writing. After everyone has shared, we will come back together and talk about the different activities we heard.
It’s time to write! Take out your notebooks and write about your dream day. Use at least five sentences, and remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. After you finish writing, draw a picture of one of the activities from your dream day. Once you are done, we will share our writings with the class.
