Let's look at some examples of sentences. 'The cat is sleeping.' is a simple sentence that tells us what the cat is doing. Notice how it starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. Now, if we ask a question, like 'Is the cat sleeping?', we use a question mark at the end. Lastly, if we want to express excitement, we might say, 'The cat is so cute!', which ends with an exclamation mark.

Now, let's create sentences as a class. I will say a word, and you will help me form a sentence. For example, if I say 'dog', we can create the sentence 'The dog is barking.' Remember to start with a capital letter and end with the correct punctuation. After we create a few sentences together, I will ask you to identify the punctuation used in each sentence.
